PROFILE AND PROGRESS OF STATE AUDIT DEPARTMENT, NAGARKURNOOL – DIST
The primary statutory function of the District Audit Office, State Audit, Nagarkurnool, is under the provisions of TS State Audit Act – 1989 (Act 9 of 1989) and rules framed there under, to conduct audit on the accounts of local bodies and other institutions in the district.
Action Plan of the State Audit Department
- The main function of this department is to audit the Local Body institutions.
- Action Plan to conduct the audits, is prepared and is approved by the Directorate, at the state level.
- As per the Action plan, target is allocated to the employees to complete the audit within stipulated time.
- The office of the District Audit Officer, State Audit, Nagarkurnool was created during districts reorganization, of Telangana State, in 2016.The existing staff of State Audit Department of Mahbubnagar district was distributed among five newly createddistricts i.e. Mahbubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Jogulamba Gadwal and Narayanpet.
