Probition and Excise
The department shall ensure that excise revenue is protected and charged under the laws and regulations. This section is one of the main income earning units of the department.I.D (Gundumba) / R.S./NDPL/ To check the production, storage and supply of copious liquor. Identify unauthorized sales / storage / supply of IML / Beer stocks. To avoid the sale of adulterated taddy. To prevent the sale of marijuana and other narcotics. Improper Distillation Control.
The District Prohibition and Excise office is functioning in Room No.112, 113 and 114 of Integrated Official Complex Building, Nagarkurnool.
JURISDICTION & ESTABLISHMENT :-Nagarkurnool District is having [ 05 ] stations, [ 1 ] IML Depot functioning with consist of [ 20] mandals as noted below

IML DEPOT:-
One IML Depot functioning at Thimmajipet. It is functioning under supervision Telanagana Beverage Corporation and Excise officials.One TSBCL outlet has been functioning in Balmoor village of SHO Achampet.
DISTRICT TASK FORCES NAGARKURNOOL:-
There is one District Task Forces functioning under the control of District Proh.& Excise Office having jurisdiction over the respective District and each District Task Forces consists of [1] Prohibition & Excise Inspector, [1] Prohibition & Excise Sub-Inspector [2] Head Constables and [ 6] Constable.
Check Post :- There is no Check Post in Nagarkurnool District.
BMPP:- There is no BMPP functioning in Nagarkurnool District. But one Border Mobile Party is proposed in Andhra Pradesh P border of Achampet which is pending.
